Joshua played a munchkin in Palmetto Bays production of the Wizard of Oz. Here is a five minute clip from the performance that includes Joshua's scene.
Another school year has passed. Can they really go that fast? Both Joshua and Sarah had great years.
Joshua received straight A's once again and was awarded The President's Award for Educational Excellence. This is an honor that reflects his performance in 3rd through 5th grade. It is a great send off to middle school.
Sarah had a report card full of pluses and received a reading achievement award in her class. She was also recognized as the student who always had a smile. We are so proud of both Sarah and Joshua.

Here are the three mighty hunters after their morning adventure.
How long will it take Sarah to eat the candy in these eggs? Hopefully, we can stretch through the summer!
Easter Sunday started out with an early morning Easter egg hunt.

It was a great day to hit the beach.

Joshua did great and we are sooo proud of him. He made it through the first round and finished in the top 30. Only 15 made it through the second round and unfortunately, he was not one of them. He did however learn a great deal, had a wonderful time, picked up a nice gift bag and has five more years to participate if he chooses to try again.
The 54 kids in the competition were ages ten to fifteen and all won a school spelling bee in the area.
Last week Joshua represented Palmetto Bays Elementary School in the regional spelling bee. Here is a shot of Joshua and Debbie right after he realized that he was now spelling in the big time!

We found out this month that Spanky has terrible arthritis in his hips. The worst part is he can no longer chase cats. Lucky for him, he has no problem doing what he does best - lay around the house.

Joshua recently completed another successful basketball season. His team, the Georgetown Hoyas, finished with five wins and two losses. This year Joshua played in the fifth and sixth grade league. The improvement these boys have made since they began playing team ball in first grade is impressive. Congratulations Joshua! We are proud of you.
