On August 13, Mark's birthday, we were hit from behind on the HWY 544 waterway bridge. We had to stop for a stalled pickup and, unfortunately, the van behind us never slowed down. She knocked us into the pickup and then pushed us along the bridge wall for about 50 feet. Thankfully, other than a few bruises and Debbie's sore shoulder, we are all OK. Our van, however, will never be driven again. Here is a short video put together by Joshua showing the aftermath of the wreck. The first pic is our van. He included other photos of the van that hit us and of his own bruises. Sorry about the music! He is 13.

Diners, Drive-ins and Dives
We ate at two diners featured on the Food Network show Diners,Drive-ins and Dives. Here is the South Side Diner in Goshen, IN.
With Aunt Peg and her family
While in Iowa, we got to spend a dinner with Aunt Peg and her family. She put together quite a group on only 48 hours notice!
Visiting the farm
While in Iowa, we got to visit the farm of Papa Bob and Grandma Rhoda's friends from church. Here is Sarah and McCayla preparing to ride horses.
