Easter Sunday! Joshua and Sarah showing that they do clean up well. We found out when two people take a photo at the same time, you are likely to get one child looking at one camera and the other looking at the other. Oh well, they still look great!

We went fishing during our vacation last week and got a close up view of a crabber pulling up his traps. The pelicans are waiting around for a free meal. 

When we got home, a bird had taken up residence in Joshua's room. I guess it is time to replace the broken screen!

It is spring break for the kids this week, so Debbie and I both took vacation. Today we walked over to a lake that is about a mile from our house. We have lived here for over nine years and did not know the lake existed. 

When Sarah saw a picture of a young Joshua, she insisted that a young Sarah get equal time!

The Columns Civil War Battle Reenactment

The Columns: "The Skirmish At Gamble's Hotel depicts an encounter that occurred on March 5, 1865 when 500 federal soldiers, under the command of Colonel Reuben Williams of the 12th Indiana Infantry, marched into the Florence area to destroy the railroad depot. These federal troops were met by a group of Confederate soldiers who drove them away with the help of 400 reinforcements from the area home guard.
The Columns is another name for The Harwell House, a beautiful antebellum home that dates back over 100 years. The popular name refers to the 22 Greek style, Doric columns that surround the home on three sides."

I got to spend the day with Joshua's class visiting a Civil War reenactment at The Columns in Florence, SC. Here is a photo of Private Garfield giving the introductry talk. Joshua is on the left side in the middle of the shot.
